Top 10 AI agents for websites in 2026

Compare Javo, Intercom Fin, Zendesk, HubSpot, Agentforce, Tidio, Gorgias, Ada, Chatbase and Botpress for website enquiries and customer support.

A visitor wants to know whether you serve their area. Another asks what happens after requesting a quote. Someone else has an account problem and needs a person. A useful website AI agent should handle the first question accurately, collect what is needed for the second and make the third easy to escalate.

For a service business that wants the setup handled, start by looking at Javo. For a support team choosing an inbox and ticketing system, include Intercom and Zendesk. Companies already invested in HubSpot or Salesforce should evaluate their native agents before adding another system. The comparison below explains where the other options fit.

About this comparison: Javo publishes this article and is one of the products listed. Placement reflects our focus on website enquiries, not an independent performance ranking. We reviewed public vendor pages on 27 September 2026; we did not run a head-to-head product benchmark. Prices below are in USD unless marked €. Billing units differ.

How we chose the shortlist

We included tools with a documented website or customer-facing conversation use case. We looked at who owns setup, how the agent gets business information, the surrounding support workflow and the billable unit. The list deliberately includes managed implementations, self-service tools and enterprise platforms. A freelancer taking callback requests and a retailer handling returns should not automatically buy the same product.

1. Javo

Consider it for: A service business that wants a website agent set up for it.

Javo answers website questions using the business’s offers and standard answers, and collects contact details for follow-up. Its published setup includes installation, configuration, mobile and opening-hours integration, and launch support. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Ask what the monthly subscription includes, which usage limits apply and who updates the knowledge. The published offer is not an enterprise helpdesk specification.

2. Intercom Fin

Consider it for: Teams that want an AI agent and a support inbox.

Fin can run with Intercom or an existing helpdesk. The combined platform includes an inbox, ticketing and a messenger, with additional workflow features on higher plans. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Separate service outcomes from sales qualification when modelling usage. Do not assume every kind of successful conversation costs $0.99.

3. Zendesk AI agents

Consider it for: An established customer-service operation.

Zendesk combines ticketing, messaging and routing with AI agents. It is worth evaluating when handling a queue, allocating work and tracking service delivery matter as much as the first website answer. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Request the automated-resolution allowance and contracted usage rate. The seat price alone is not a complete AI budget.

4. HubSpot Breeze Customer Agent

Consider it for: A business already working in HubSpot.

HubSpot’s customer agent uses business content to answer visitors within its customer platform. Professional or Enterprise eligibility matters before comparing the usage rate with a standalone tool. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Check your existing credit allowance and what other features spend it. Do not count credits included in a paid subscription as an independently free product.

5. Salesforce Agentforce

Consider it for: Customer workflows connected to Salesforce.

Agentforce offers customer-facing agents alongside Salesforce workflows. Its pricing provides more than one purchasing model, so the relevant comparison is the work a visitor’s request triggers. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Count the actions required by your use case and check platform dependencies. A conversation and an action are different billing units.

6. Tidio Lyro

Consider it for: A smaller team combining human chat and AI.

Tidio combines live chat, a helpdesk and Lyro. It also offers managed options, so a done-for-you setup is not a distinction exclusive to Javo. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Keep the live-chat allowance, AI allowance and any managed service separate. Check what renews each month rather than treating the initial trial quota as recurring.

7. Gorgias AI Agent

Consider it for: An ecommerce business evaluating store-focused support.

Gorgias positions its AI agent around ecommerce and Shopify brands. Include it when your shortlist is being driven by shoppers and store operations rather than enquiry forms for a service business. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Demonstrate the exact store task you need. A compelling retail example does not establish suitability for a non-retail company.

8. Ada

Consider it for: An enterprise evaluating several customer-service channels.

Ada offers customer-service agents across messaging, voice and email, with enterprise integrations. Evaluate it when the project involves several channels and business systems. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Agree the deployment scope, escalation ownership and evaluation process before using a vendor’s headline performance claim in your business case.

9. Chatbase

Consider it for: A team that wants to configure its own AI agent.

Chatbase sells plans with message-credit allowances and model access. It is a practical candidate for a team that wants to work directly on its agent’s content and configuration. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Message credits are not customers or resolved cases. Include the branding option and expected usage before comparing the subscription with a managed implementation.

10. Botpress

Consider it for: A team that needs to build a more customized agent.

Botpress provides agent-building tools and a webchat. Its current offer also includes managed delivery, so decide whether you are buying software to operate or an implementation service. Official product and pricing information.

Before buying: Read the current conversation definition and automatic recharge rules. Older comparisons using a different pricing structure may no longer apply.

What an AI agent for a website should actually do

Start with the questions arriving today, not a feature checklist copied from a sales page. Ask about your real pricing, your eligibility rules and a service you do not sell. Change the wording. A visitor will not use the exact sentence stored in your help centre.

Then test the next step. When someone asks for a callback, can your team identify the person and understand the request? When an answer requires a human, can the visitor get through without repeating everything? A well-written answer is not the same thing as a completed customer task.

Javo’s focus is the visitor who reaches your site and needs an answer or a follow-up. We sometimes describe this role as a brand agent because it represents your business using your offers and tone. That description is not a separate technical certification or a claim that every listed product has the same capabilities.

How to compare costs without mixing units

Bring a sample of your real enquiry workload to each vendor. Ask for the subscription, implementation work, usage beyond the allowance and the cost of keeping information current. Keep one-time fees separate from recurring charges. Retain the currency and billing commitment used in the quote.

A message-credit plan and a resolution-priced plan cannot be compared by dividing their sticker prices. A single enquiry may require several messages. A resolution definition may exclude a human handoff, or count a different event from another provider. Salesforce also offers action-based billing. Use the vendor’s definition before estimating your month.

Do not buy on an unexplained accuracy percentage

Ask for the underlying questions, the evaluation date and the scoring rule. Check whether a correct refusal counts as success and whether answers were checked by a person. Record factual correctness separately from lead capture and support resolution.

We have not published a 98% accuracy score for Javo or assigned scores to these competitors. No comparable test was performed for this article. For your shortlist, use the same set of business questions and review the mistakes, not just the final percentage.

Questions to settle before a pilot

Which option is the best fit for a small service business?

Javo is our suggested starting point when the requirement is a configured website agent and contact capture. Ask for a demonstration using your own service pages. Include a self-service option when someone on your team wants to own the configuration. The right choice depends on that ownership decision as much as on the interface.

Can I keep my current helpdesk?

Sometimes. Fin explicitly offers deployment on an existing helpdesk. For every product, verify the exact integration, which data moves and what the human sees after a handoff. A logo on an integrations page does not settle those details.

Should I call it a chatbot, an AI agent or a brand agent?

Use words your audience understands. Our worldwide term comparison favoured AI agent; the separate France comparison favoured chatbot. Neither tells you how much purchase-intent traffic a particular long-tail phrase will bring. On the actual website, make the role concrete: what it answers and what it does next.
