7 Salesforce Agentforce alternatives for website AI agents in 2026
Compare seven Agentforce alternatives, including Javo. Understand the $0.10 standard-action calculation and why actions are not conversations.
“We need an AI agent” can mean two very different briefs. One company needs a website visitor to ask a question and request a callback. Another needs authenticated access to customer records and a workflow across business systems.
Agentforce belongs in the second conversation. It may also serve a website, but a website alone does not establish the need for a Salesforce implementation. Scope the task before comparing subscription figures.
About this comparison: Javo publishes this article and is one of the products listed. Placement reflects our focus on website enquiries, not an independent performance ranking. We reviewed public vendor pages on 27 September 2026; we did not run a head-to-head product benchmark. Prices below are in USD unless marked €. Billing units differ.
When Agentforce should stay on the shortlist
Keep it in the evaluation when Salesforce already holds the data and workflows the agent needs. Moving the front end elsewhere does not remove the work of connecting and controlling that data. Ask for the exact customer journey to be demonstrated, including the permissions used.
Seven alternatives, depending on the job
1. Javo
Consider Javo when the scoped task is answering website enquiries and capturing contacts, not executing complex Salesforce workflows. Official details.
2. HubSpot Breeze Customer Agent
Consider HubSpot when an eligible HubSpot environment is already your operational centre; changing CRM solely for an agent deserves a separate business case. Official details.
3. Intercom Fin
Consider Intercom when the immediate need is a customer-service agent connected to a support workflow. Official details.
4. Zendesk AI agents
Consider Zendesk when ticket handling and service operations are the main problem you are solving. Official details.
5. Ada
Consider Ada for a broader customer-service agent project that must be evaluated across channels and systems. Official details.
6. Botpress
Consider Botpress when you need a configurable agent-building environment and have a clear owner for delivery and maintenance. Official details.
7. Chatbase
Consider Chatbase for a team-managed agent, while checking every required system action rather than assuming platform equivalence. Official details.
Count actions before comparing the $2 conversation option
Salesforce also publishes a $2-per-conversation purchasing option. It is a different model, not an extra line to automatically add to every Flex Credit calculation. Confirm which model applies to the intended deployment.
At the standard rate used above, a hypothetical request using five standard actions consumes $0.50 of Flex Credits. That arithmetic does not establish that your request will use five actions, that the actions are available without other licenses, or that the model is cheaper for your contract. Use a recorded workflow to estimate the real action count.
Use one complete customer task in the demonstration
Choose a request that normally needs a customer record. Follow it from identification to completion. Inspect which information the agent can see and whether the final change happened in the right system. Then repeat with a visitor who should not have access.
For a Javo comparison, select a task that is actually within its published website-enquiry scope. A callback request can be compared with another callback flow. It should not be presented as equivalent to changing an authenticated account or executing a refund.
Is a website agent a substitute for Salesforce?
Not for the whole platform. A narrower tool may cover the website interaction while Salesforce remains the system of record. The connection and ownership of the follow-up need to be verified.
What belongs in the budget besides usage?
Include implementation, permissions design, data preparation and the people maintaining the workflow. Ask how you pause or roll back an incorrect action. A low unit price cannot answer those questions.
