7 Tidio alternatives for website AI agents in 2026
Compare Javo and six Tidio alternatives. See the cost of each included Lyro conversation, where Tidio is the better fit and when not to choose Javo.
Tidio combines live chat, a helpdesk and its Lyro AI agent, so the first question is which part you want to replace. Some teams only want the AI answers. Others want to stop paying for chat seats they no longer use.
This guide lists Javo first because Javo publishes this article. Javo is a narrower product. The comparison table shows where Tidio and the others are the better choice.
About this comparison: Javo publishes this article and is one of the options listed, in first place. Placement reflects our focus on website enquiries, not an independent performance ranking. We checked the public vendor pages named in the sources on 16 October 2026. We did not run a head-to-head product benchmark. Prices are in US dollars unless marked €. Billing units differ, and the vendor can change them at any time.
When Tidio is the better choice
Keep Tidio on the shortlist when your team answers visitors by hand and wants AI in the same inbox. It also has a free plan and a 7-day trial on its paid plans without a card. Tidio lists a managed AI service on its Premium plan, so a done-for-you setup is not unique to Javo.
Seven alternatives, depending on the job

Consider Botpress when you need a custom agent and someone to maintain its workflows. Botpress official page.
5. Chatbase

When not to choose Javo
If your main need is a human chat team with a lightweight AI add-on, start with Tidio or LiveChat and use Javo only for a separate website-enquiry project.
Javo is a website agent set up for you at €600 per month per product. It does not include a shared inbox for your own team, a ticket queue or voice or messaging channels.
Compare the billing units before the prices
Tidio counts billable conversations, which include a human agent message, separately from Lyro conversations, which include at least one AI reply. The 50 initial Lyro conversations on Starter are listed as one-off. Check what renews each month before you model a monthly cost.
Javo costs €600 per month per product. Tidio’s entry prices are lower. Compare what each one includes, who updates the answers and how a contact reaches your team before treating the lower number as the better value.
How to test a replacement
Choose one service page and ten real questions from your inbox or phone log. Ask each option the same questions, including two the page cannot answer. A good result is a clear refusal and a request for contact details.
Check what your team receives afterwards: name, number, question and the page the visitor was on. Keep your current chat running on other pages while you test.
