7 Freshworks alternatives for website AI agents in 2026
Compare Javo and six Freshworks alternatives. See the published price of each extra Freddy AI Agent session, where Freshdesk is the better fit and when not to choose Javo.
Freshworks sells Freshdesk, a support platform for teams, with Freddy AI Agent billed in sessions. People look for alternatives when they do not run a support team, or when they want the website agent set up for them instead of configured inside a helpdesk.
Javo is listed first because Javo publishes this article. It is a narrower product. The table shows where Freshworks is the better choice.
About this comparison: Javo publishes this article and is one of the options listed, in first place. Placement reflects our focus on website enquiries, not an independent performance ranking. We checked the public vendor pages named in the sources on 16 October 2026. We did not run a head-to-head product benchmark. Prices are in US dollars unless marked €. Billing units differ, and the vendor can change them at any time.
When Freshworks is the better choice
Keep Freshdesk when your team already works tickets there and wants the AI agent in the same tool. The published seat prices are $19 (Growth), $55 (Pro) and $89 (Enterprise) per agent per month billed annually. The Freddy AI Agent page describes answers from a knowledge base in several languages and names social media, email and voice as channels in its example. It does not name website chat, so ask which channels your plan covers.

When not to choose Javo
If your team handles tickets all day and wants the AI agent inside the same helpdesk at a published per-agent price, Freshworks is likely to fit better than Javo.
Javo is a website agent set up for you at €600 per month per product. It does not include a shared inbox for your own team, a ticket queue or a tool your team configures and maintains.
Sessions are not leads
A session counts a conversation with the AI agent. It does not count how many visitors left their details. Test your own questions and count how many sessions a normal week would use.
As an illustration only: if the 500 included sessions renew monthly and your team had 1,000 sessions in a month, the extra 500 would cost 500 × $0.49 = $245 on top of seat prices. Javo costs €600 per month per product and is not billed per session. The two prices cover different things, so compare the work done, not the price alone.
How to test a replacement
If you only need website answers, pick one quiet service page and run the same ten questions through each option, on desktop and on mobile. Check which channels each option really covers: the Freddy AI Agent page does not name website chat. Record the answer and whether your team received a usable contact.
Change one fact in your source material, such as opening hours, and see which option repeats the new fact first.
